Camp Counselor
Pay Scale: To be determined
Days/Hours: Monday-Friday usually 9am-4pm. May be asked to come in as early as 7:30am or stay as late as 6:00pm.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Genuine liking for and desire to work with children
- Must have good communication skills
- First Aid/CPR a plus but not required
- Ability to respond to and act swiftly during an emergency situation
- Be available the majority of the summer
Representative Duties:
- Lead a variety of camp activities such as games, arts and crafts, sports, and skits
- Swim with the children on a daily basis
- Be responsible for the accountability and safety of children while at camp
- Attend field trips and be responsible for the children's safety while at field trips
- Plan or assist in planning activities for children to participate in
- Be positive leaders for the children
- Lead specialty camps if asked
